What do we have here?
A 1971 Tudor Submariner “Snowflake” ref. 7021/0 with stunning patina. These references feature a 39mm stainless steel case and this particular watch comes fitted to a Rolex folded-link Oyster bracelet with a more modern flip-lock clasp (9315 / 501 B end links). A particularly uncommon feature worth noting is that this watch comes with a “PATETED” stamped dive extension, an error only made by Tudor/Rolex from 1971-1973.
The original black dial features a bubbling texture common within this reference and is complemented nicely by Tudor’s iconic Snowflake handset, square hour markers, a cyclops date window at 3 and a faded “ghost” bezel. The hands have been color matched / relumed at some point and it should be assumed that the acrylic crystal as well as the bezel insert are aftermarket.
This Snowflake is in good vintage condition with typical wear throughout, consistent with its age. To preserve the sharp case lines and allow the watch to tell its own story, we have chosen not to refinish this watch prior to listing. Contact us for more info, photos, or to make this watch yours!
(Professional refinishing available at the buyer’s request - cost will be added to the sale price)
