~1972 (3.02M serial) Rolex Explorer II 1655 39mm "Albino Freccione"

What do we have here?


A great example of a Rolex Explorer II ref. 1655, sometimes referred to as the “Steve McQueen”. This watch features a 39mm stainless steel case fitted to a Rolex stainless steel Oyster bracelet. The matte black “SWISS only” service dial is complemented nicely by large lume plot markers, a large Albino “Freccione” (which means big arrow in Italian) 24 hour hand, and a Cyclops date window at 3 o'clock. This watch also features a fixed stainless steel 24 hour bezel.
