A rare and unique example of a limited edition Cartier Tortue XL  ref. 2909, aka the “Turtle”, featuring a 34mm X 33mm 18K yellow gold case fitted to a Cartier leather strap and yellow gold Cartier deployant. Limited to only 25 pieces, this work of art is crafted to depict a swimming turtle. The wood marquetry dial is complemented nicely with coral and tiger eye stones, representing the top of the turtle shell. The head, tail, and legs of the turtle are crafted on the bezel in champlevé enamel and the eyes set with 2 diamonds. The swimming turtle design is complete on the case back with an enamel motif showing the underside of the turtle.
