A great example of a Rolex Submariner Date ref. 116613LB, aka the “Bluesy”, featuring a 40mm stainless steel case fitted to its original Rolex 18k yellow gold two-tone Oyster bracelet. The iconic blue sunburst dial is complemented nicely by luminous applied hour markers, a Mercedes hour hand and a Cyclops date window at 3 o'clock. The watch features a blue unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel with 18k yellow gold numerals and a yellow gold screw-down crown. The gold text featured on the 116613LB reference provides warmth and a “gilt-era” feel compared to the stark white 126613LB text.
